SHORT ESSAYS:  Certain past blog postings which I have saved entirely for my own benefit, as they are personal guideposts on my development from angry college student to significantly more mellow adult.

SHORT STORIES
:
Stories which are short in length. All three were composed at a time when the Bush II administration gave me much to be angry about.
  • The Well of Memories (OR: Rammis Field):  A ten-page short story about memories and our history from a far-future perspective. The story from which this website borrows its title.
  • The Walking Man's Monsters:  A ten-page short story wherein an old man describes three modern monsters. Written in a single day.
  • Con Rep:  A fourteen-page short story about a heavily metaphorical monster centipede. Something to tell the kids about, but probably not before bed.

PLAYS
:
 Stage plays I have written.
  • The Last Resort:  A half-hour play of nerds and politics in the year 2010. Written in September of 2005, well before the promise of Barack Obama rendered its future vision moot. It was performed by University of Central Oklahoma theater students in March 2006.
  • Second Sale:  A ten-minute play about a company planning to capitalize off the Second Coming of Jesus. Published in the Spring 2006 edition of UCO's New Plains Review and narrated to an audience of dozens in an official capacity. Written in October of 2005.
  • The Importance of Lawn Mowing:  A ten-minute play about an argument in a suburban front lawn. An obtuse allegory of American politics. Written in March 2005.
  • Trimming:  A five-minute sequel to The Importance of Lawn Mowing, now even more obtuse. Written in October 2005.
  • At a Convention:  A five-minute play about a young nerd couple taking a moment aside at an anime convention to argue. Written in October 2005.

MEGA MAN X
:
Fan-works derived from the video game series Mega Man X. All things Mega Man belong to Capcom, not me, so if Capcom complains I'll take the Creative Commons license off of them. As though they cared about fanfiction.
  • Giga City Prelude:  A half-hour fan-screenplay for an OAV animation based on Mega Man X Command Mission. It deals with Spider's past in Giga City.
  • The State of the World:  A historical essay about the Mega Man world, "written" around or before X7. Minor story elements borrowed from Ben "Maelgrim" Roberts.
  • A Brief History of Energy Theory:  An essay by the author of The State of the World on the topic of energy theory, "written" around or after X7.

LEFTOVERS
:
A trawl of my text folders turned up these edible chunks of words.
  • Where Are They Now?:  The current states of the cast of the anime series Azumanga Daioh, listed Animal House-style.
  • The Noir Body Count:  A spoiler-free compilation of how many people died in the anime series Noir, episode by episode. Also keeps a running tally of kills by the principal characters.
  • Advance Wars History:  An historical essay of Wars World from the Advance Wars videogame series.
  • Gurren Lagann:  Wherein I briefly examine the character of Kamina after watching Gurren Lagann in a marathon.
  • Revolutionary Girl Utena:  Wherein I breifly examine the themes of Revolutionary Girl Utena after watching it in a marathon.
